My Movers was started in 1974 in Huntington Beach, CA, by Mr. Tom Leitke, a Vietnam veteran who served as an Airborne Ranger in the US Army.

At the start, My Movers had one rental truck and one employee. By 1980, My Movers grew to become a large, professional, and reliable independent mover. In 2001, the HQ relocated to Northern Indiana for the family-centered community, relaxed population density, clean environment, good schools, and interesting weather patterns (*ahem).

My Movers expanded their offices to Indianapolis in 2015, offering quality moving and packing services our customers have grown to expect. Now serving both the Michiana and greater Indianapolis area, My Movers Inc is a member of the Better Business Bureau and a member of AMSA, the American Moving and Storage Association. Meet Our Team

Tom Leitke

CEO

Founder and owner. Tom started a moving company in California in 1974 and has been in the industry ever since. He is a Vietnam Veteran and a former drill sergeant. His two sons Thomas and Henry continue on in the moving industry, building on Tom’s foundation. My Movers Inc was established in South Bend IN ~2005.

Thomas Leitke

Thomas and Henry have been working together for most of their adult lives and now fulfill similar customer service and management roles in the Indy metro and surrounding suburban regions. Formerly an ESL English, teacher Thomas spent 8years abroad in Asia and the Middle East. Coupled with a humanities degree from IU Bloomington, Thomas has extensive experience with cultures and languages.

Henry Leitke

Director of Boxes with Corners

Henry has 13 years experience in the industry and 8 in management. You can reach him on the office line for phone consultation, to set up an estimate or for general inquiries. However odd your moving situation seems, there is a good chance Henry has experience with something similar. Roughly figured, Henry has overseen or been a part of ~42,000 hours of furniture moving.

Jack

Jack is a wellspring of positive vibes and humour. Many inside jokes at the company can be traced back to Jack. He is also our expert in senior citizen moves with the extra knowledge and patience to make sure everything is done properly and in a proper time frame.

Levi

Customer: “woah I can’t believe you guys lifted that up so easily”
Levi: “Nah, it’s not that heavy…”
Customer: “That’s because you’re a giant!”
Levi: “😆 this is true”
Levi has overseen countless full service multi-day pack-and-moves since 2017 when he came aboard. He also runs crew on apartment jobs from time to time.
Levi has significant long distance move experience as well, spanning the Eastern US.

Darryl

Cheerful and energetic, a true family man. Darryl brings a lot of fun and positivity to the crew. Never underestimate the ability of positive thinking to overcome even a 300lb armoire.

Dave

An Indianapolis local, Dave brings courtesy and clarity to the site. Moving can be chaos so it is great to have level heads around.

Adam

A great attitude, strong as a bull and with fashionable sunglasses to boot. Adam is always a great assist from packing your chinaware to lifting your piano.

Joe

Joe has driven over the road as a CDL driver and has worked with My Movers Inc for many years now in many capacities as a quick and energetic mover, driver, packer and all around asset to the My Movers Inc team.

Josh

A competitive Highland Games participant, bow hunter and weight trainer, Josh has great physical discipline. In otherwise hectic times, his level headed demeanor makes crew and customer feel at ease during a move.

Troy

On staff since 2016, Troy has done hundreds of local moves. Troy is also very handy with construction, plumbing and repairs. He is an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and brings a lot of energy and skill to the job site.

Devonte

Kind and courteous are just the first two things that come to mind. Devonte leads his team through even the most hectic move with organization and calm. He is a pleasure to work with and leaves you thinking, “wow, how did that go so smoothly!"

Antonio

Antonio is a diesel mechanic trainee and mover. He is great to have around on days that never seem to end because his even keel and easy to get along character makes long days doable. Piece by piece we will get it done.

Louis

Louis is a strong gentleman, polite and diligent. Watch the stress of move-day melt away because you know you are in good hands. Everything is done right with Louis.

Rizzo

Rizzo brings exceptional customer service and positivity to the My Movers Inc crew. We are sure you feel feel happy and relaxed knowing your move-day requests will be met with a cheerful “no problem!"

Josh was great with answering all of my questions and keeping me up to date with the plan for our move. The moving team was fantastic as well! they packed, loaded, and unloaded everything so we didn't have to lift a finger. they even helped me take some brackets off the walls for our TVs and baby gates. We moved during a snow storm on top of everything so I'm very appreciative of everyone at my movers for working with us! Service Master in Granger came and did the tear out of all the wet materials of the home... floors, vanity, walls, and left our furniture in the home with their mega fans and "air purifiers"... swirling around all the sewage air on all our personal belongings. Then our insurance company sent a POD for our personal belongings (furniture, rugs, mattress, storage bed.) Matt Parker of Service Master sent a moving company "My Movers" to move our stuff into the POD.  Like thieves in the night "My Movers South Bend" came into our home without notice or warning, moved our stuff from the home, WE NEVER EVEN SAW THE MOVERS."  "My Movers South Bend" damage our Suede Chair, didn't wrap our mattress just shoved it into our POD on the filthy floor, destroyed my Storage bed so it will never be right, and shoved our white slipcover loveseat on its fabric into the POD on the filthy floor... THEY DID NOT WRAP ANYTHING!!!!!!! They left and we didn't get to witness this move at all.  Because again they didn't let us know that they were coming!  Matt Parker at Service Master offered to "on site spot clean" the mattress with a bunch of chemicals, clean the now filthy loveseat, and hasn't even acknowledged my storage bed.  Then decided that the suede chair was already damaged. (my walls showed damage from the jamming of my chair through the hall and doorway. Service Master in Granger, and My Movers flipped us the bird after they basically vandalized our things.  I say vandalized cuz we weren't even home for the movers.  Matt Parker picked the "My Movers South Bend"... I did not!
